Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a service provided to WNCC students, faculty, and staff in which books and articles not available at WNCC can be obtained from another library. There is no charge for items that are requested for academic purposes. However, we cannot borrow textbooks.
Due to copyright restrictions, we cannot request more than five recent articles from the same journal. Please limit your requests accordingly.
Most articles arrive in 4-6 days and most books arrive in 8-10 days. The time of arrival depends on the location from which the item is being shipped.
ILL requests can be submitted online by completing the article or book request form. Requests can also be made at the Scottsbluff Library.
Articles will be emailed to the address you provide. You will be notified by email (or phone) when a book arrives. Books must be checked out from the location you select on the request form.
The supplying library determines the conditions of the loan, including the due date. Articles are yours to keep, but books must be renewed or returned by the date indicated, or we will block privileges just as we do with our own overdue books.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
